I'm supposed to make a sweet potato casserole for Thanksgiving tomorrow (mashed sweet potatoes, sugar, butter, lemon juice, rum, raisins, ground ginger, eggs, vanilla, milk allspice).
How much can I do the day before? Can I make the casserole and refridgerate to be cooked in the morning?
If not that, can I at least boil and mash the potatoes and store until tomorrow?

What temperature do you set your oven to...and how long does it take to heat?

Yes, you can make it today. In the morning, take it out of the refrigerator to bring it up to room temperature before you bake it at 350 degrees. Follow the recipe directions how long to cook it. Never put an ice cold casserole into a hot oven, especially if the cooking vessel is not metal.
