It's pine pollen season. That means for the next three weeks everything outdoors will be covered with a heavy coating of yellow pollen. Visible clouds of pollen can actually be seen blowing through the area.
There is no keeping anything clean. There's no point in washing your car (or cleaning the interior), deck, grill or lawn chairs today because they’ll be pollen covered again when you wake up the next morning.
Even though pine pollen is not considered one that causes hay fever reactions, the sheer volume present is enough to irritate your eyes and throat.
Here's hoping it's gone by the Memorial Day weekend.
