This is supposed to be a limited edition flavor.

This is the second steak flavored chip I have reviewed

The bag was filled with your typical ruffles potato chip. Some larges chips in the bag along a massive 4 inch by 2.5 inch oval potato chip.

The chips were nice and crunchy.

The flavor though was REALLLLLY Great. It really did taste like you were eating a steak.

I give this snackfood item a big thumbs up and something you must try before they go away. Shame on them for making this a limited time item...

Thanks, Kleenex - I've just about stopped buying potato chips because I love 'em so much. Looks like about time for an exception. Hope they're at my store, too.

I was also surprised that the things had a definite grilled steak flavor.
It was very subtle, not overwhelming, which is good.
Also was surprised that the flavor maintained throughout the handful
of chips. I find that often the advertised flavor can be tasted for a chip
or two, then they just become kind of salty and undifferentiated.
I did think the Steak chips were a bit salty.

Oh, and I was pleased that they released these in the smaller Grab bag size.
I usually am not willing to buy a big bag of flavored chips just to try them.

At first I only saw the 1.49 bag, BUTT waited for a big bag. Even in the big bag the flavor was still great at the very bottom of it.

I am eating Ruffles right now. Au Gratin flavour. And they are delicious.

True story. :)

PS- Can you get Au Gratin flavour in the US? Someone told me you couldn't. That would make me extremely sad for you 'mericans if that were the case... :(

I've come up empty so far in my search for the grilled steak flavor -- the grocery store did have Ruffles in a bacon & sour cream flavor that sounded great, but I'm holding out for the steak. Didn't see any au gratins either. I may find them yet -- I'm no quitter...especially when it comes to eating chips.
