Separating eggs the easy way!

My daughter sent me this advice. I have been cooking for over 40 years and never new this. It seems you can teach your mother how to separate eggs:smile:

Anyway this way of separating eggs is so simple and clever...

I knew about that technique, having run accross a the video before. It's always great when a post like this comes up, for those who haven't seen it. Thanks. That link led me to this one - Separating Eggs. This Is So Simple. I Canā€™t Believe Iā€™ve Been Doing It Wrong All These Years. | News Twitter, which makes a great looking egg. Can you imagine using that for deviled eggs? You could take them to a pot luck and get everyone wondering how you did it.

Oh, and you have to first watch the video about sucking eggs into a plastic bottle, and then select the heart-shaped egg video.

I find separating them by hand works best for me. And, I always crack the egg on the counter, not on the edge of the bowl or frying pan. I'm surprised by the number of chefs on TV crack the egg on the edge of the bowl or frying pan.
