Oil for mixers?

I have an old Hamilton Beach mixer (1960's?) that has 2 holes for oiling the motor, I have been using gun oil for it, but with that running low, I'm curious what else would be suitable for a mixer motor.

I think any light weight oil such as 3 in One oil or sewing machine oil would fill the bill nicely. Be careful not to use too much,
