Delicious cup of coffee this morning!

...and another thing.

I look at this picture and see an improperly exposed photo. Not enough light on the subject. The iCamera didn't think to use the flash. Poor photos bother me so I wouldn't normally post them.

The proliferation of smart phones which make it easy for folks to take and share pictures is great but folks aren't using any judgement as to whether or not the picture is worth sharing. The smart phone proliferates bad photography. I'm tired of seeing a photo of people where their faces are in shadow because they were photographed in front of a window and the extra light caused the camera to under expose the faces.

Rant over.

I take pictures of my cakes and my furbabies. I am also one who doesn't think about taking a picture until my meal is a minimum of half over!

I'm not a compulsive picture taker. My phone is barely out of the stone age and doesn't do pictures and I hate carrying extra around with me because I leave it lying or it wanders off.

I have the government free phone for elderly folks. The original phone that is provided did not take pictures. It was a tiny phone and difficult to use even for texting.

So I bit the bullet and bought my own phone at a discount price. My phone now takes photos but I can't upload them even to my computer. I would have to pay for that service. I do pay the grand sum of $5.00 a month for an extra 250 minutes past my free minutes that I get. I am cheap and that is all I am willing to pay for a free service.

My Kodak camera is handy. I just never think to grab it.

Also my table is a colonial type one. Both leaves fold down. I keep it that way as it is a pain to keep it open. Not much room in a studio apartment. So I eat while sitting on my bed and my dish is on my night stand.

Also I never eat a full normal meal. All you would see is a picture of a bowl of peas with butter, or a plate with just the meat, etc.

But I have to agree. I do love food porn.

Wow, there's some real passion here about food photos.
For me, I like to take pictures of the dishes that I make so that I can remember what I made and it'll prompt me to try something again.

I also enjoy taking pictures of the food that we have out, mostly when we're traveling. I like to order foods that I wouldn't normally make and then ask questions about it. Many a time I have been invited back into the kitchen, but without my camera and I always ask if it's okay first to take photos, some chefs don't want you to take pictures and post them on Social Media because of exactly what Andy M said... poor quality photos, not to mention bad attitudes on the dinners part, sour grapes and all.

I have a digital camera (have had one type or another for many many years) and I upload the photos to my laptop and then load them on to memory sticks.

I can't find my digital camera so I use my Android phone. I have it connected to my Dropbox account so pictures are automagically copied there and then to my laptop. Love that ?

I take some of my pictures on the counter or the stovetop; for the stovetop, sometimes I lay down a kitchen towel so it looks like a place mat ;) I get really good light from the light above the stove.

Sometimes I take pix and then forget to post them
