Are the cakes in that posted link the ones we will be baking? Or are we allowed to free-style it? And if so, do we have to a cake each month, or just base something each month?

I'm not much of a cake baker. Did one from scratch in my life...and that was before our 35-year-old kids were born. But if I can chose what to bake each month, I would consider playing along. I'd even try a new-to-me recipe, rather than falling back on one of my favorites, so that I do learn something new.

The more the merrier, CG! My original idea was the list from F&W, but I don't want to exclude anyone.

One dessert a month and you can bake whatever you like, as long as it's clearly a dessert. I like cake but I bought some cute little tart pans recently that I want to use So those are the guidelines!
