Hi Don. Welcome to DC. Living in Boston, I have had a love affair going with Old Ironsides since childhood.

Her proper name is The USS Constitution. It is the oldest still active ship in the American Navy. She is tied up in Boston Harbor. Once a year on July 4th, they bring her out of her berth, and turn her around. She fires her guns with a 21 gun salute and then returns to her berth. Today she is in dry dock for maintenance and repairs.
