Pressure cookers are great for a few things, among them dried beans. My method for black beans is to cover them with salted water and bring to a boil. Turn off the heat and let them sit for an hour. Then drain and rinse, cover them with water again, add a tsp of oil to prevent frothing and pressure cook at 15lbs for exactly 8 minutes. Quick pressure release and drain and rinse again immediately. They come out perfect every time and I think they taste much better than canned.
