First run Fruit Tart with my new tart pan. It looks pretty. I will try to get a picture of a slice.

I was going to pick up a Madeleine pan when I was at BB&B last week, but the shelves were empty of everything! Next time...

I made two batches of scones: orange-chocolate chip (our favorite), and basic cream scones with dried cherry bits.

Tomorrow's breakfast and more. Onion bagels.

I made my first crostata - Strawberry.

It started out good.

A lot of liquid came out. Looks messy. I haven't cut it yet.

There is a lot of water in strawberries. Did you macerate them first?

When I make strawberry shortcake, I first mix the cut strawberries with sugar and let them sit for several hours to bring out the water. Then drain and use the strawberries. You can use the sweet strawberry water in baking.
