Bragging Rights from Last Night Dec-3

Dinner for 14 at Chez KeyLime Paige

1 13 pound turkey (used apples, garlic, onions, lemon, salt, pepper, butter and a little bit of flour in an oven bag)

1 Large Pot of Mashed Potatoes (with creamy horseradish, 1 can of vegetable stock, sauteed garlic, dash of salt, black pepper, parsely, milk, butter)

1 Large Pot of Stuffing (normal store bought kind, added with some chopped red apples and dried cranberries)

1 Green Bean Casserole (cream of mushroom, garlic, sharp cheddar cheese, green beans, bread crumbs on top)

3, count em 3 Key Lime Pies (two with merengue, one without)

And of course people brought other stuff (sweet potatoes, fruit salad, cookies, etc..).

The only failure of the evening?
Corn Bread. Forgot that it cooks at a higher temperature than the turkey....and well, it was a loss.

"In hindsight, adding extra flour was my way of sticking it to the man, and I stand by it."

--L upon adding 1 cup instead of 1 tbs to a chili recipe.
