How funny! We have no children, but rarely is it a holiday for two. I wouldn't hesitate to bake a turkey for just us, but if it was just the two of us, I'd probably do the cornish game hens or some kind of roast (know why? I still have turkey in the freezer from Thanksgiving!). Somehow the singles in any community we've lived in (and we've lived in a lot of them) know how to beat feet to my door on holidays. In younger days it was single GIs, now it is more likely to be widows, divorcees, their kids, etc.
