I always keep a can or two of Manwich Sauce in the pantry to make a quick dinner.

Well my quick dinner was reheated ribs (instead of freezing like I had wanted) and sautéed redskins. So the sloppy joes for me will come in a day or two now. I use Mama's recipe.

I made a steak, medium rare. I tried Alton Brown's way of doing it, with browning on the stovetop and then finishing in the oven. It worked ok. I think it would have gone better but the cut was uneven. The thick center was great, the outer, thinner edges were still good, but not as good as the center.

I make my own sauce too. Would you mind posting for PM'ing Mama's recipe?;)

Leftover Italian Chicken Soup and Pineapple Oatmeal Muffins.

To start: Green salad with shredded carrots and an Asian vinaigrette.
Main: Broiled salmon with an Asian-style glaze (soy sauce, fresh ginger, lemon juice, etc.). , and brown rice on the side.

I was thinking of red pepper!

I ended up adding red pepper to the potato soup I'm making. I had to tame down the sweetness.
