Dinner tonight, Monday April 7/08

Hi fine folks out there....................
I just got home from the market with the prep ingreds.
Beef loin riblets, marinating in light molassas/seasoned rice vinegar/mango pancake syrup/evoo/sesame oil/soy sauce.
They'll go on the inside grill when dinner time rolls around.
Roasted red/yukon/russets/sweet potatoes in the oven with rosemary/garlic/evoo/butter/PD's house seasoning.
Baby carrots, glazed with raw sugar/honey/butter/s&p.
UB's biscuits with butter that is in one of my new butter dishes.
Orange supreme cobbler with WalMart carrot cake flavored vanilla ice cream.

What is anyone else making for dinner tonight?

Paulie has a dinner meeting... so I'm making up a pot of hot and sour soup.
I love it..he only likes it once in awhile so, tonights the perfect night.

Helped the boy make Lasagne Bolognese from my Joy of Cooking book. It's been so long since I made a bechamel sauce! It's in the oven and smells wonderful!

I had whole wheat penne pasta with some pesto sauce and a little parmesan cheese.

I'm making hot and sour soup, too, with roasted chicken with a sweet sake glaze and roasted asparagus.

Sirloin steaks with baked potatoes, steamed broccoli, corn on the cob and garlic bread.

Salmon steaks wrapped with fresh sage and bacon, cooked in butter and olive oil. Steamed broccoli and rice pilaf on the side. Pineapple-coconut bars for dessert.

Hi, pdswife. I've never made hot and sour soup before. Does it keep well for leftovers?

I don't put meat in mine but...to me like most soups it's better the next day.
I've never tried to freeze it for later use.

Tonight it is pork chop casserole made with boneless chops, granny smith apples, and sweet potatoes. It is one of my favorites!

nasty smelling tripe my exchange student is cooking (I don't think I'll have any). And a spicy rice soup that I will be making--after I sterilize my kitchen!

We grilled tipalia and asparagus, had that with wild rice blend and potatoes.

I spent most of the morning visiting my SIL and new baby at the hospital (he's sooo teeny!!!) so I didn't think much about dinner.
Made bagel pizzas w/ some of my stockpile of frozen bagels.
