I have some organic ground beef DH bought yesterday and am trying to decide what to do with it. I was thinking shepherd's pie (brought on by another thread) but that will mask the quality of this meat so I am now thinking Salisbury Steak with mushrooms, onions and gravy. Not sure what to go with it but I have lots of salad to use up so there is a start.

I am making comfort food:
Tangy 2 Beast Meatloaf
Baby peas with mushrooms and pearl onions
Seasoned mashed taters and gravy.

making a 2 gallon pot of corn chower with home made croutons

some more of the tomato and bread salad

and pop corn for the tv veiwing pleasure tonight

lol...Pacanis, you are silly!!

Let us know how the soup turns out.

I have some round steak that I need to use up.
I think I'll do some version of Swiss steak...BUT,
we have a play to go to tonight so, I'll cook it and stick it
in the fridge for tomorrow.

I had some last night, but it was late and I was hungry. Still, it tasted good. The real taste test will be today. I'm going to be having some in about twenty minutes., too.

SOUP DAY!!!
Pacanis' darn soup thread got me all ready to make soup, now I can't decide.
Chicken Wild rice or Cream of potato......
Either way, its cold, windy, I need soup!

Hey, where would I get those????
:)
pdswife is making me make potato soup. No problem!!!

I have some left over roast beef, I'll probably make a casserole out of it, if not, open hot roast beef sandwiches or even beef soup with veggies.

blintzes fer dessert.

leftover rib eye steak from last night's plan, i.e. a stir fry. will use green, yellow, and red bell peppers. also chinese noodles. all mixed with a plum sauce. ended up with egg, bacon and english muffin last night. :chef:
