On our Luau table this evening will be Kalua Pig & Cabbage,
served over that ever present steamed White Rice.

I make my own Oven-Roasted Kalua Pork

... small-ish Pork Butts are hard to come by!
So I wind up with a bunch of meat.

... I portion it off, vacuum seal them, and freeze them for later enjoyment.

Neither of us had any spoons today, so we ordered burrito bowls from the local TexMex place. They were good.

Looks GRRREAT KGirl.

We had puzza from out favorite pizza place. Margherita for me. Sausage, red bell and caramelized.onions for Craig.

We had an Ozarks Luau.
HB patties and mashed potatoes, with white gravy. Because we are from Cali, we also had tomatoes and avocados.

Apple strudel was dessert.

I had leftover chicken seasoned with za'atar, so I made a Turkish-inspired soup. It has onions, garlic, bell peppers, tomato paste, a can of diced tomatoes and orzo, and is seasoned with sumac, Aleppo pepper and lots of fresh parsley from the garden. I served it with ciabatta toast and a dollop of kefir. Yum.
