GEEZ! I'm sure that my husband wishes this is what's for dinner!
This was his appetizer from back in 2019 when we were in San Antonio Texas.

Instead, we'll be trying something new-to-us for our main meal today.
I'll be combining this Noodle dish with some b/s Chicken as well some Snow Peas.

What's goin' on your plate?

Instead of Oysters on the half shell, we will have thawed white beans with ham hocks. Works for us on a cold day with a threat of freeze for tomorrow morning.

Dessert to be figured out later.

Oh, but I love oysters. I need to keep up on my National Made-Up Celebrations! :yum:

We will have some items that came from the mass of meat that has been recently (yesterday) smoked! Also side salads....maybe I will make some collards. Mmmm.....collards.

the Fish Monger didn't have any Oysters........ (Sigh) !

Pasta Night ! - Mussels in a White Sauce with

Minced Clams over #9 .............

LT, I tried to look up what the difference in the numbering of pasta, spaghetti in particular and came up with nothinin'
I usually buy Barilla Brand "Thick Spaghetti" #7
so would #9 be even thicker?
Curious minds want to know

I had homemade pastrami on rye with tomatoes. Frank had pulled pork with potato salad. All part of his huge smoker-fest.

DH was not wild about this one.
He chomped on a huge forkful of noodles and promptly pushed his plate
towards me, "Here, you eat this" and made himself a Ham & Cheese sandwich
He said that it was too sour for his taste (Tamarind I suspect) but I found it quite tasty.
There was no way I was going to eat both plates, so that will be lunch :punk:
