Official Dinner Thread for Monday the 9th

Feeling ambitious today so I mixed up some fresh pasta dough. I made a double batch so I have a piece to freeze for another day.

I also have a pot full of Shredded Beef Ragu simmering away. A Giada Di Laurentiis recipe. It's really good stuff.

A glass of red wine will round out the meal.

I started "memory week" of meals my Mom used to make with her Crab and Shrimp Marinara.

Same here... some fresh pasta from last night (that was served under chili), now done with an Alfredo with peas and broccoli.

Had what was left of extra Pastrami Reuben I picked up yesterday. Here’s one of the other ones I had. Oh so good!

We had leftovers from yesterday's Chinese delivery: pork almond ding, Szechuan chicken, and a Szechuan beef and vegi dish. We served it with our own brown basmati rice. It doesn't taste or cook like brown basmati. We won't be buying Lundberg's basmati again. But, it worked as an acceptable brown, long grained rice. That meal was still tasty reheated.

Nice food porn.

I had a few end chops from a value pack. I had breaded and baked the nice center cut ones a month or so ago and decided to simmer these lower grade ones in onion gravy. Sides were mashed potatoes and collard greens with bacon.

What a great dinner thread tonight!
Sorry there's nothing special here as we had a couple of loaded lunches today in town after doing running around. Just not hungry but the wine and cheese in front of the TV was nice. We really like that new show called "Tommy". Check it out as you might too.

We were going to have leftovers yesterday but Mom decided she wanted bacon and eggs for lunch instead. Will probably have leftovers for lunch today.

Looks great! I love antipasto. I usually add anchovies and some olives.
