A very long time ago, I bought some veal shanks at Costco and tossed them into the freezer. Out they came this Sunday for a dinner of Osso Buco Milanese.

They're in the oven right now simmering away.

I will also make some steamed broccoli, Risotto Milanese and gremolata to accompany the OB.

What's up with you all?

I have chicken bone-in skin-on breasts and thighs seasoned with Penzeys Greek Seasoning roasting in the oven, potato wedges browning in a pan and onions, garlic, diced tomatoes, green beans and oregano simmering on the stove. Smells nice in here :yum:

I'm trying Marcella Hazen's recipe for easy spaghetti tomato sauce again. The first time Himself and I were underwhelmed. Maybe using it with fresh pasta from West Side Market will make a difference. We'll see...erm, taste. We'll also get Goober's review; he's never tried it before.

Chicken fried pork steak with mashies and gravy, with a vege dish of corn and mirliton/chayote.

We were pooped, so we ordered out. Stirling had a submarine and I had a "two stick souvlaki platter". with salad and fries. I use malt vinegar with my fries.

Take Two did not change our opinion of this "sublime" sauce. Himself said it was more like "supine" while Goober said that it would be improved with a few herbs and seasoning. However, the fresh pasta was sooooo good that Himself said that he would help make fresh pasta once we're back in MA.

We had slow cooked chicken thighs in a mushroom gravy.. I steamed Brussels sprouts as a side..

Ice cream was dessert again.. I need to bake something..

Pot roast with carrots, potatoes, and onions. Mashed potatoes & gravy. Sweet peas with butter. Enough leftovers for a few days.
