Pier 66 wings. Pier 66 is (or maybe was given COVID) a restaurant. Wings are roasted, blasted with a mix of orange marmalade, tamari/soy, and minced garlic, then tossed with toasted coconut and white part of green onions once done. Carrot slaw as a side.

I baked a store bought tourtière; boiled some 'taters; sliced up some frozen, cooked beets and nuked them with butter and lemon juice; and made some gravy. It was really good. Lesson learned - it takes much less potato starch to thicken a gravy than corn starch. The gravy tasted great, but it was thick and stretchy!

Tacos al pastor from the weekend taco truck. Dang they're good!

Baked feta, cherry heirloom tomatoes and garlic over linguine topped with parmigiano reggiano, pecorino romano and ricotta cheeses and fresh basil.

It was a damp, rainy, blowsy day, perfect weather for soup. I pulled one chicken breast from the freezer, poached it with lots of aromatics, and used the strained liquid for part of the soup base. Added one lonely chopped leek, lots of carrots (6), most of three celery ribs (yup, I nibbled some), and the shredded chicken and simmered until a pot of noodles was cooked.
