In spite that it's 90+ degrees here, I had a craving for white bean and ham hock soup. Glad we have air-conditioning!

Homemade baguette to accompany and will finish with the last of the pineapple upside-down cake.

DH grilled two kinds of sausages. Unless I have plans for the sausages that will be left in the package, I like to cook all of the sausages when I open a vacuum sealed package of sausages. They are less likely to go off that way. Anyoo, we had hot Italian sausages that were good, but not exactly hot and some white wine and shallot sausages that are surprisingly tasty. We had rice salad, and dolmadakia to go with that. A little low on the vegis, but filling and tasty. Lots of sausages ready for sandwiches or to be used in other dishes.

Pan seared pork sirloin steaks in a mushroom and onion gravy with mashed potatoes and broiled zucchini.

We had guests yesterday, just for an hour or so in the afternoon, and I was so tired after they left, I could barely make dinner. I made bruschetta with crostini, pesto and chopped tomatoes and served with a bowl of grapes for a snack while they were here. Then, DH grilled chicken breasts and corn on the cob and that was dinner. I count the basil and tomatoes as my veg [emoji16] No pictures because it looks so pathetic [emoji1787]
