We had a pre-Christmas feast with TB's family.

Turkey, stuffing, gravy
TB's mashed potatoes
Curried Cauliflower
Roasted brussel sprouts
LP's "Famous" Carrots
Cranberry Sauce
Veggies and Dip

Black Forest Cake

I am stuffed! :pig:

I baked a ham early today. When we were verging on starvation, I wedged some baby reds, dredged in avocado oil and sprinkled with Penzey's Creamy Black Peppercorn dressing base, then roasted till tender. It was a wonderful dinner, cold ham slices and hot potatoes.

Then I cooked up the hambone with garlic and onion powders and have a rich stock. I'm soaking a 15 bean mix for tomorrow. Will have to pick up a cornbread mix.

I'm feeling "blah". Every stinkin' time I looked at the thermometer today it said 8. So for dinner we "8" chicken barley soup. I made between 4 & 5 quarts but since all I had earlier was a slice of toast, tea and coffee, and Himself's repast had been cereal and banana along with coffee, I think we have about 1 1/2 quarts left. :yum: At least the soup warmed me to the core.

The marsala didn't happen. I just couldn't resist the meatballs when they came out of the oven.
