[Just Cooking]

An early dinner to celebrate youngest great grandson's 5th birthday.

Fried chicken, mac n cheese, salads and more.

Of course he had to have a Volcano cake with monsters on top.

Craig's version of chicken cacciatore using tomatoes, red bell, onions and garlic. He was supposed to use fennel, but forgot about it. Garlic bread.

Tossed together a combination of kielbasa, onion, mushrooms and roasted red peppers and sautéed them. Added to a sub roll with cheese.

Not bad.

Stirling cooked hamburgers and I made a salad. It was a quick, chickpea salad based on a video by Jacques Pépin. It has real potential. I forgot to take pictures.

I tossed a couple of bargain pork chops into the toaster oven with BBQ sauce. While they baked, I braised cabbage, sauteed onions, and cooked potatoes. I married the mashed potatoes with the sauteed onions... it's been ages since we've had those.
