Sunday dinner, May 16, 2021

Part of our dinner. We had to try it fresh out of the oven with some soft butter for quality control purposes.

It's French Pain D'Epi, or wheat stalk bread. Looks good medtran!

Taxy, it's a baguette type dough shaped as GG noted.

Thanks GG.

Mushroom and spinach St. Honore per Chef Hubert Keller with homemade bread.

At Aldi's, I picked up some frozen pork cutlets and a mushroom spätzle mix. It made for an easy and quick meal. String beans straight from the can. I'm feeling pretty lazy today.

I made bachelor surprise and made a second attempt at a brown rice pilaf. The pilaf was good enough to work on getting it better.

6 family members went out to brunch so, Jeannie and I snacked the rest of the day.

Cookies and milk was dessert.

I made a Sunday gravy. Simmered the tomato sauce all day after roasting some tomatoes and garlic in the oven. Served over fresh linguine noodles. Absolutely
scrumptious.

Perfect day for that as I spent most of the day outside enjoying all the glorious sunshine.

DH had a craving for pork ribs yesterday, so he started a rack smoking while I went strawberry-picking with a friend. With the ribs, we had baked beans and a salad.

For dessert, I mixed honey, vanilla extract and Penzeys Pie Spice with plain Greek yogurt and macerated strawberries. Layered them up and topped them with chopped pecans. No-cook and delicious! Click image for larger version
