DH had picked the last of the tomatillos last weekend, so I decided to take the soup in a southwest direction. Added chile powder, cumin and Mexican oregano as well as chopped tomatillos. It turned out great. I also sautéed some of the cornbread to make croutons.

Cornbread. I like putting veggies in it. This includes roasted red peppers from last summer's garden and frozen corn.

Hey Alix, nice seeing you. Don't be a stranger, ya hear?

Himself and I are battling cold germs, so neither of us was up for fancy. I made breakfast, using some of yesterday's ham, frozen hash browns, and a 4-egg mushroom and cheese omelet for us to split. He had some toast, I had some cookies. And after looking at some yummy dinner plates here, I'm hungry all over again. :ermm:
