My French Canadian mother called it ragu..it's not ragu, but she probably didn't have a name for it so we always knew it as that..I still call it that..I just call it beef ragu..

Rick Bayless | Cheesy Shrimp Tacos

Well, that was a Rick Bayless recipe that sure wasn't over my head and those shrimp Tacos had us both groaning with pleasure..the neighbors might be jealous of what goes on over here.
Kidding aside, those shrimp Tacos were unlike anything I've cooked before, and they were just FABULOUS following his directions.

I served them with classic Mexican rice with peas.
