I baked a rhubarb and blackberry pie - and it came out just right! Just a little sweet and tasty tart!

Yes, I've had that combo too, but to my mind, unless you're making strawberry jam, strawberries were never meant to be cooked. They simply turn to mush.

Rhubarb can be mixed with many other fruits that can stand up to a tart flavor. I even like it by itself. Now, if you want something really tart, try gooseberries!

"Sweet" isn't the only flavor that makes a good dessert!

my daughter just finished making a strawberry and rhubarb pie. not my fave but ok. i think she makes the crust to thick and then doesn't bake enough. lol

my fave lemon pie is the one with eagle brand milk

I had a slice of Gooseberry pie at Marie Callendar's years ago, loved it!
I'm not a fan of blackberries, to me, they taste like whiskey. yuck.

i just whipped up a devils food cake and put it in to bake. i have cherry topping, bananas and whipped cream waiting to play supporting rolls.

Devils Food Cake

Whipped cream, sliced banana and sliced strawberry in the middle.

Cherry topping, whipped cream and flaked coconut on top.

My daughter had just cherry topping and sliced banana on top.

Tres Leches

Ive finally tried making tres leches and it was good..well a bit of improvement ...but its my first time baking this cake.

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk

Mix together cream, sweetened condensed milk and evaporated milk. [/FONT]
[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]Poke holes all over the cake. [/FONT]
[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]Spoon the milk mixture over the top. [/FONT]
