It's cool today so tonight I'm making roast beef, mashed potatoes, steamed broccoli (steamed spinach for me) and burgundy pan gravy.

It's a blast from the past here tonight. Remember "Impossible Hamburger Pie" made with Bisquick? I'm doing an oversized gussied up version, baked in a skillet.

We'll also have glorified dinner salads.

CI-fried bunless cheeseburgers with fresh-picked cherry tomatoes. And ketchup that I managed to spill all over my shirt.

I made potato salad and coleslaw last night, had some haddock fillets deep-fried by the seafood department while I grocery shopped earlier today. Today's potato salad had capers and chives this time. Himself said it was tasty.

Cajuns did come from Canada, although a little farther East. ;)

That's right..Not sure exactly where my lineage came from, but at some point we ended up out on the west coast. One of my forefathers founded Quesnel BC while employed by Simon Fraser..not sure you could find one Frenchman left out there..
