If all goes as expected:

Good Friday Dinner

Shrimp Cocktail and Cocktail Sauce (homemade)
Baked Clams
Linguine with Clam Sauce
Greek Salad
Garlic Bread (homemade French bread)

It's chilly and windy here today, so I'm planning on making an Italian-style soup with Italian sausage, canned tomatoes, cannellini beans and rainbow chard from the garden.

Well things are looking good so far.
My baguettes are rising. First run on these. I have one of those double baguette pans. They look kind of strange at the moment. Hopefully after the rise and bake they will look "normal" or at least taste good. LOL
The shrimp is boiled and chilling for shrimp cocktail.
Cocktail sauce is made and melding in fridge.
Garlic butter is made and melding also.

How are you making the shrimp?

A friend that lives in our condo building is cooking it for us. :) My husband I and I and She and her hubby have all been self isolating here in our condo complex for over two weeks. We are sharing our dinners. I'm doing the rice and salad.

Happy Aloha Friday!

What are we eating today?

Well ...

Breakfast was a stuffed English Muffin with
Canadian Bacon, Scrambled Eggs and Cheese of the diners choice

Lunch for Moi was a Take-out order of Shredded Beef Chimichanga.
Very generous indeed!
I've never had a Chimi with Ranchero Sauce over it,
but it was quit tasty.
They also included Chips & Salsa MMM!
I've never eaten at this place before, not bad and for the price,
MAN! $12.49USD

For DH, he wanted Pillsbury Crescent Ham & Cheese Pinwheels,
your wish is my command :sorcerer::kiss::king:

Dinner will be leftovers from the other night,
which was Take-out as well.

We live in a pretty small town and only have 5 restaurants,
if you want to call them that.
Two of them have already shuttered down for good probably,
1 is teetering on the brink,
so we're trying to help out the 2 remaining joints... plus I
had the meanest ono's (that's Hawaii-Speak for I gotta have it!!)
for a Chimi. DH does not care for Mexican Food, so he had
the Kids Menu offering for the afternoon

What is your version of a "pretty small town" K-Girl? We have just over 11,000 here, and all we have are pizza joints or bars. Sure they have tables, but they ain't really restaurants.

We're doing the no-meat on Friday thing during Lent. Tonight is a simple but well-loved food: fried cabbage and noodles. I'm trying to use as much cabbage from the one head in the fridge while still saving enough for a pot of corned beef next week. It's gonna be a tough call.

Tonight's Effort ;
Air Fryer Blackened Drumsticks, Nuked Potato, Buttered Sprouts & Carrots...
SoS - Zesty Italian...

Well the Linguine with Clam Sauce fell by the wayside.
But the rest was good.

First try baguette was good.

Our Little Town (wait a minute, isn't that a song?) has a population of 4000

All we have left is the Mexican joint and BBQ, which was take-out only, even before all of this madness set in. The place teetering is breakfast only and she was only open 2 days a week with maybe 6 tables. :(

Funny, we moved from a place with 976,000 souls to a town of 48,500 and now Cowboyville  but we love it here!

Our town is only Pop. 2,800. We have 9 restaurants, 1 liquor store, 1 burger king and 2 delis.

Aldi had salmon on markdown today so I grabbed some.
Good Friday dinner-
Citrus salmon with pineapple salsa and side of mixed greens with balsamic vinaigrette and steamed shrimp. IMG_20200410_202628_340.jpg20200410_200943.jpg

Ordered from Mr. Falafel. Two orders of shish taouk, the chicken platters. It was delicious as usual. We phoned quite early, since they were too busy to answer the phone on the last two tries.
