Manicotti for dinner. Pretty quick and easy.

We drove past a Longhorn Steakhouse while out this late afternoon. Himself said "boy, that smells good", so we stopped... only because I had money on the gift cards from vacation. After our salads, Himself had a 12 ounce NY strip with (over)seasoned French fries; I had a 6 ounce sirloin and 8 Redrock grilled shrimp along with about half of my baked potato. Dinner was... okay. We've had better meals at Texas Roadhouse, and at a better price.

Our regular Irish pub doesn't do delivery anymore. So, we tried out a different local pub. DH had a "pub cheeseburger" with fries. I had their crispy chicken tenders with celery and carrot sticks and a blue cheese dip. That was an enjoyable meal.

We had thin spaghetti with an andouille sausage red gravy. A small green salad and buttered bread were the sides.

Mini eclairs were dessert.

I made fried chicken - a rare treat - with three-ingredient mac and cheese and steamed green beans with butter and Penzeys 4/S Seasoned Salt. I love this large cast iron skillet I bought a year or two ago. It fits perfectly on the smoker, too, so I can make the smoked chuck roast we like without having to make sure we have an appropriately sized aluminum pan.
