Not sure at this point. Today is DD's birthday so we may go out for dinner. Have to wait and see if she wants to go out or if she will request dinner at home (then I will make a market run).

I just took a pork chop out of the freezer - hopefully I'll be able to grill it, but the wind is coming up already so it might be stovetop. Loaded up salad on the side.

I just got a Fagor pressure cooker, and my first meal will be chicken and chickpea masala, recipe from Seriouseats.

Easy Pressure Cooker Chicken and Chickpea Masala | Serious Eats

The instructions on the web page say to add the chickpeas along with the chicken, but the recipe says to add the chickpeas after the chicken is done. I've got a couple of hours to decide which one I'll go with. I'm leaning toward adding them after the chicken is done, as they are already cooked.

I don't see where it says to add the chick peas with the chicken. Follow the recipe and add the chick peas after cooking. Canned chick peas are already cooked.

DH is out playing golf with friends and will probably go to dinner with them afterward, so I'm on my own tonight. I'm thinking I'll make a big salad with leftover grilled chicken and homemade croutons from bread I made the other day.

I canned some tomatillo salsa last night and had a bit left, so I might snack on some tortilla chips and salsa.

Oops - my bad. Here's the link for the instructions with pictures, where is says to add the chickpeas with the chicken.

Easy 30-Minute Pressure Cooker Chicken and Chickpea Masala | Serious Eats

I'm thinking the chickpeas might have more flavor if added with the chicken, but might come out a little over cooked.

I'll see how close to the picture it looks when done. I rarely get anything to look as good as the food porn.

Hummm, I think that the chick peas would add more favor if added with the chicken. That's the way I'd do it. So what if they're a little mushy.

The recipe looks delicious. Makes me want to buy a pressure cooker.

I have some chicky thighs marinating in Goya and Sriracha. I was wanting to grill, but with a chilly wind I think I'll have to convection roast them. Roasted asparagus for both of us and Tater Tots for the SC.

Dadburn pressure cooker won't hold pressure. Leaking somewhere between the handle and the lid. I'll have to contact Fagor. Dinner was OK, but there is a lot of scorched food on the bottom, as I was guessing as to when it was done. Wife says it's a do again, as the chicken was fall off the bone and moist. Then again, she says that about just about everything I make, as long as I'm the one to do it again.

Everyone's plans sound good!

DH's buddy came over after he was done work for a coffee and a baked good, I made some Mac Nut Brownies for the two of them.

So dinner is an easy one:

Broccoli Rabe sauteed with loads of garlic and some browned sweet Italian sausage, a goodly pinch of red pepper flakes and finished with a dash or three of some good olive oil, as well as grated cheese; all served with some orecchiette, MMM! I like that slight bitterness of the Rapini with the sausage, it's a nice contrast in flavors in this dish. And DH will eat anything that has pasta.
Now, I understand that this is REALLY a dish in Italy, and I thought I was being imaginative :stuart:

What a shame.

My Husband got home from work tonight and I had cooked Ribeye Steaks that I had been marinating for 2 hours. Also we had broccoli and cheese baked potatoes and homemade rolls. It was delicious.

Delish sounding dinners as usual, all!

I decided to have the pork chop tomorrow, and build a taco salad for this afternoon's dinner instead. Oh my, that was so good.

Iceberg and romaine lettuce, ground beef seasoned with Arizona Dreaming, black beans, corn cut off the cob, grape 'maters, green onions, fried corn tortilla strips, cilantro, and crumbled Cotija cheese. Topped with ranch dressing with a little adobo sauce mixed in :yum: - just enough for a nice spicy bite.

I forgot to add the Cotija until after I took the pic. :)

Another quick, comfort food dinner. A simple pan of onions, hot dog discs, and potatoes simmered until the potatoes were very tender. Doesn't sound like much, but we sure enjoy it.

Beautiful as usual Cheryl !

Twice baked potato. With bacon bits, onion, cheese, sour cream, garlic, a little milk, and a little butter. And then I wonder why I can't lose weight.
