... I would LOVE to go backpacking and camp out for a night or two RF... alas, DH is a true blue city boy... he joined the Boy Scouts, went on their first overnight camp-out, he snuck away and went to the Holiday Inn! HA!
Me, I use to camp out all the time in Hawaii on the beach, great fun!

RF, it made me cold just reading your camping post!

Two weeks ago, the weekend before Xmas, I camped at the same trail camp. It was really cold and rainy that Sat night. I knew it was going to rain but I wanted to cozy up in my little solo tent and watch a movie on my tablet with the sound of the rain and all.....
My wife thought I was nuts....

My wife refuses to go camping with me. I don't think she's ever camped in her life...
She always tells me if we ever go car camping she'll drop me off at a camp site and she'll drive to the nearest motel.
