I don't know as I'm having oven issues and discovered that last night when I was making dinner. It might be a crock-pot dinner.

What about you?

I have 6 pounds of cleaned and snapped green beans in the frig and will make this
Marinated Green Beans - 179661 - Recipezaar this morning. Think I will double the recipe cause it looks like it gets better with age..

well, we will be getting in a third cutting of hay, today. We were blessed with 7 inches of rain since the second cutting, and we have no water shortage issues to far this fall!!!! Probably will do a sandwich wrap with the bean salad tonight..

Being it is my birthday, I don't think I will be cooking, will ask hubby to get takeout maybe. I don't really go out to eat, really prefer not to do so because I have issues with my stomach.

We are going to dinner with a lot of people, then they are coming here for dessert. So far we have a pound cake, a sugar free apple pie, 2 recipes of flan, 3 platters of fresh fruit and a peach pretzel dessert. I think that will be enough for everyone to take some home too. I'm going to add cinnamon crisps to go with the fruit.

for dinner tonight i have porterhouse steaks thawing. not sure how i will cook them. the broiler is fixed but they turned out fantastic on the stovetop cast iron grill pan last time i may do them that way again. fried califlower, string beeans and pan fried potatoes as sides. thats the plan at the moment.

since I am in the UK we have alredy had dinner. I cooked a vegan soup, Hubby had oxtail stew for main. and we both had rice pudding and glazed orange for desert.

We eat alot of vegan and vegeterian food because I am more or less vegan. Hubby don't mind it when I cook them for him he rather likes them.

Today's dinner was a vegan soup with mixed stew grains, dried field mushrooms from last autum, that I soaked since the morning in tow different bowls.

Hubby had a main course I didn't don't eat that much. He had an oxtail stew I simmered during the day, simmered is stock I had, and some vegetable and cubed potatoes.

For desert we had my home made rice pudding with glazed oranges.

Took pictures of them when I had dished up
not very good picture of the stew. so going to put the soup and the desert on here

Last night was "Chicken Scarpariello" (basically a rustic Italian braise of chicken (in this case chicken thighs), sausages (in this case turkey tomato & basil), artichoke hearts, hot & sweet peppers, onions, rosemary, chicken broth, & white wine. Nothing else required but some crusty bread & a nice green salad.
