Local grocery store is having a sale on tri-tip, so fixing that along with baked potatoes and sauteed spinach. Just baked a chocolate cake too.
 
I've had a craving for stuffed bell peppers, so that was this afternoon's dinner. Really hit the spot. :yum:

Our dinner. There were two preparations. The syphon was thinly sliced with a kiss of lemon juice and the belly was fried with a coating of panko.

DH cooked this in the slow cooker. It was just a little bit tough, but good.

We had slow-cooked Marsala braised beef short ribs with the usual complement of onions, carrots, celery, cabbage, & potatoes. Great stuff on a cold winter day !
