I was beyond thrilled to be introduced to Belly, Eugene, OR, a few months ago. Not only was the food some of the best I have eaten in many years, but the prices were surprisingly reasonable. Two memorable dishes (from the small plates/appetizers menu) were the braised pork belly in cherry sauce and the bacon-wrapped, manchego stuffed dates with apple cider gastrique and hazelnuts. Each of those dishes were plentiful and under $10. If you get to Eugene, and you love food ... GO!

To make it even better, it is a short block away from a wonderful glass gallery, run by the glass artists of the Mazet family, called "Imazing". If you get to the restaurant, take a minute to visit to gallery and see the work of the Mazet brothers as well as other local glass artists. Beeeea-utiful!

That alone is worth the trek up the coast! I'm quite hungry now.... ;)
