ENGLAND - WALES .. From or Familiar with Wales?

I am looking to schedule a trip to Wales for Easter weekend. I'm wanting a place for us to stay that is close enough to a train station so it's not too hard for me to get to from London. I've heard that Llandudno is a nice place to visit. I also would enjoy walking through the Snowdonia Mountains. We just want a relaxing weekend where we can enjoy nature through the day and maybe go into a pub and get some dinner at night. Does anyone have any advise on places to stay that would provide this kind of activity, but would be easy to get to. Whether it's coast or mountains I'm interested in both.

Aberdovey is a great little seaside village in the area you are looking for, nice restaurants as well.

Too bad this wasn't aired last week - I just finished watching an episode of Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, and one of his success stories is in Wales.

Aberystwyth area has a lot of good restaurants etc,the Harbour Master in Aberaeron is well recommended.
