On our trip to Bar Harbor last weekend we stopped to eat in Rockland, right on U.S. Route 1. My sis-in-law had eaten there a few months earlier and she and her hubby enjoyed. It's called the Rockland Cafe, a simple, small storefront place. They have a Seafood Chowder to die for! ALL kinds of seafood, including nice pieces of lobster. Also, I had to try the Lobster Lasagna for my entree. Layered just like regular, but the red sauce was replaced with a very light alfredo - light both on the parm and also the consistency. It was one of the best things we ate on the trip. Think I might try it at home when lobsters are on sale...
