I've got to spend almost a week in Rochester at St. John Fisher College. Seems my company is having trouble hiring a local chef...anyone interested in a job?

Wondering if anyone knows anything interesting in the very very local area. I don't believe I'm renting a car, so it will be cab/car service all the way.

Hi Vera,

If I had the skills, I would take it in a heartbeat. I grew up in Utica, NY.

Rochester is the home of Kodak, maybe a tour there. Here is a link for tourism there maybe some of that will interest you.

Depending on how much you love downtown NYC, it will either be a welcome break or "I can't wait to get out of here." I hope it is the former.

I have a brother that lives in Rochester. I'm not very familiar with the city myself, but if you haven't been to a Wegman's Grocery store you must check it out. Wegman's was born in Rochester.

hahaha, kodak and a grocery store! Thank you both for the suggestions. I'm interested in a bit of a break, sure. Just never traveled alone, ya know..

Check the link that I sent. Seems that there is a lot more than that.

I understand traveling alone is no fun. I used to do a lot of trade shows.
