Mistake with a salad

This morning I was making a cole slaw salad for supper . I mixed the dressing in a big bowl and poured in the bad of cabbage mix(or so I thought) and was stirring it all up when I looked at it and saw I was stirring "lettuce". Daaa. Has anyone ever done that. Will the lettuce stay crisp until supper.

If I were you, I'd pour the lettuce into a colander & let all the excess dressing drain out. Then refrigerate the lettuce in a bowl covered with plastic wrap. All should be fine.

And before you go on thinking you're the first person who's done this, I'll give you just one guess as to how I figured this rescue method out - LOL!!!!!!!!
