i would like to see a hot dog picture competition. we already have a few great ones from recent threads. what does anybody think of the idea? pictures of hot dog plates can have an instant appeal that is powerfully suggestive. attractively shown, a hot dog almost sells itself. when you see it, you immediately want one. i think it would be fun to see who can present the most desirable hot dog picture in a competition....

I have moved these posts from another thread as they really can be their own thread, this should take off. :)

Now... who else has some pictures of hot dogs?

Sautéed hot dogs and onions in butter, tomato paste, red wine and water added to make a sauce then served over small pasta shells.

My mouth is watering after looking at all those yummy dogs. The kimchee dog was my favorite, but vitauta's second dog with the maters on it is a beautiful thing to behold.

Sorry for the misquote. Now I see the "Originally Posted by Vanilla Bean" just above the pics. There is an Asian Market near me that sells homemade kimchee that is pretty darn good. I'll have to pick some more up to try this.

Ok, rock, the only way I can see this happening is if dried noodles were stuck through the hot dog and then put into boiling water.

Is that what you did?

This is a picture from a spaghetti dog recipe, and that is exactly how it's done :)

the spaghetti dog looks like an oddly tasty looking sea creature. it also reminds me of when i used to get my roots highlighted. the condiment in that case was bleach....:)
