Homemade cornflakes

Since I don't eat cold cereal, I never have cornflakes in the house. I do, however, like to use them for breading every now and again. I haven't tried this yet, but always have cornmeal in the cupboard:

Well, you certainly have more energy than I do! Interesting way to get corn flakes.

Sounds interesting CWS. If you decide to try this, please do let us know how you like them. I use to use cornflakes for a lot of coatings. They add another dimension of flavor. But I hate cornmeal as I have always found it too gritty. But this recipe sound promising.

When I went to Dollywood in Tennessee, I waited while the gentleman stone ground some cornmeal for me. Really fresh and organic to boot. I made cornbread once and the rest sat at the back of the fridge for more than a year. I finally tossed it and just kept the nice cloth bag. If I only had this recipe then.
