I am trying a new recipe that calls for only 1/4 cup nonfat dry milk powder and the smallest box I can find in the store is humongous and cost $4.95. Is there a substitute? I am making whole wheat biscuits that also have potato flakes in the ingredients...
Thanks.

How about coffee creamer? You should be able to pocket 1/4 cup from the local Starbucks, free fer nuthin.

LOL, Caine - I never know when you're being serious ...

But, yeah, why not replace 1/4 cup100% dehydrated nonfat milk with 1/4 cup of: INGREDIENTS: CORN SYRUP SOLIDS, VEGETABLE OIL (PARTIALLY HYDROGENATED COCONUT OR PALM KERNEL, HYDROGENATED SOYBEAN), SODIUM CASEINATE (A MILK DERIVATIVE - no lactose), AND LESS THAN 2% OF DIPOTASSIUM PHOSPHATE (MODERATES COFFEE ACIDITY), MONO- AND DIGLYCERIDES (PREVENTS OIL SEPARATION), SODIUM ALUMINOSILICATE, ARTIFICIAL FLAVOR, ANNATTO COLOR?
