I've never had much of a green thumb and the red clay dirt here sure hasn't helped any. The price of veggies had me trying something new this year. A raised bed garden. I LOVE IT! It's been a lot of fun and I'm learning a lot but still have a LOT more to learn. I thought I'd share some pics from this morning!

Here's my tomato forest. Next year I'm gonna make some taller cages. These weren't nearly tall enough.

With the storm we've had lately, some of them have started to lean over. I used a forked stick to prop them back up. I put the fork end of the stick on the bottom rung of the cage and the other end against the side of the raised bed. It's been working pretty well. Next year I'm going try something different.
