It is little pieces of fried chicken. They look like popcorn because of the size and shape.

Popcorn Chicken at home

Popcorn Chicken is bite size pieces of boneless chicken coated with the Colonel’s secret blend of 11 herbs and spices and deep fat fried.

You can make it at home. A friend had the “secret blend” analyzed at a laboratory and they found only flour, salt and pepper in the sample. (Sample size was one 12 piece bucket.) Have a go at it and you can tell the children they are eating popcorn chicken just like KFC. To serve it like KFC put it in a popcorn cup like theatre popcorn is served in.
