Well for starters, do you want my special questions (see Sprout's getting to know page for examples) or standard ones?

1. I would totally own a restaurant! I would call it "Eat!" That way, when people asked where you were going, you could say "I'm going to 'Eat!'"
2. Sunny-side up on a piece of wheat toast.
3. I have a couple heroes.
-First and foremost, my FIL. He's the ultimate family-man without being Clark Griswold. He does what he has to do for his family and is an outstanding leader.
-Secondly, Alton Brown; without him and his show I wouldn't be into cooking like I am. I started watching his show because I thought it was interesting and goofy but I soon realized that I wanted to do all the things he was doing... and here we are.

1. Burnt popcorn-j/k! Fresh coffee grounds (nice question!)
2. Curious Pessimistic Hungry
3. Italy. I love the photos I see of Rome and the art/culture that is borne of that region. I feel like I need to experience it in person rather than a photograph or a book. I just want to smell the air there..

I do like to read.. almost to a fault. When I start reading a book I don't complete any other non-vital tasks until the book is finished. I really enjoy books that "take you somewhere." Something like Dan Brown's early novels or even Steinbeck. In the past year I've only read 2: The Catcher in the Rye (hadn't read that since 5th grade, it was like a new book) and The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt by Edmund Morris.
My wife hates it when I read.. I can ignore anything (including her) for hours.. and hours....

What was the first thing you deep fried?
Has your wife written a thank-you letter to AB yet for inspiring you to cook?
Do you think AB would work on my husband? Jk, you don't really have to answer that one!

1.First thing I ever deep fried was chicken. Chicken and fries. It was good but it's gotten so much better in the years I've been making it.
2.No, she sent him a gift basket
3.I'm really not sure. My good friend really enjoys the show and has seen every episode yet he hates to cook. I could be worth a try, though.
