Getting To Know Snickerdoodle
You are up!
1. What is your favorite music?
2. If possible, would you want to run your own restaurant and what would you call it?
3. Are you living where you want to be the rest of your life? If not, where do you want to be?

What's the most dangerous thing you've ever done?
("danger" is subject to your take on the word)
What do you expect to be doing in ten years?
Do you think that you are generally an optimist or a pessimist?
Why do you cook?

1. Probably my aunt. She's only 14 years older than me and she has plowed through major "milestones" in her life about 5 years in advance of me (getting married, having kids, etc.) She did it all so gracefully and honestly.
2. The Lord of the Rings trilogy
3. Rock/metal, classic rock, rap, techno/electronic, classical, some reggae (any of the Marley's)

1. (see above)
2. No, I don't think I would enjoy owning my own restaurant. I think it would kill some of my passion for food.
3. We're very comfortable in this area and I've lived here all my life, BUT, I would like to live somewhere more rural and scenic.

Hmmm... I'd say pregnancy is the most dangerous thing I've ever done
In ten years, I expect to be at the same job, but making more money in a director position, living in a house (finally), and hopefully no more than the 3 children we have .
Most definitely an optimist! I see opportunities in every situation, good or bad and I'm not easily discouraged. The light at the end of the tunnel usually isn't a train so there's no reason to live that way.
I cook because I enjoy it. I enjoy it for many reasons. I love science so the chemistry behind cooking and baking fascinates me. Cooking is one of the only creative outlets I have as I suck at pretty much every other creative hobby. It yields a wonderful sense of accomplishment for me. I look at my ability to cook as a major asset to the family. I consider it to be a my duty and one that I enjoy very much. I'm still learning a lot so cooking is, for me, very adventurous, and that is also appealing.

It's tough to pick a favorite food to cook! Usually, my love for making a food is directly related to my love for the flavor of the food . Basically, I love to cook things that are super delicious, which is a lot of food! I honestly can't even say if I like cooking or baking better.
My favorite food to eat... wow. I L-O-V-E cheese, fruit and chocolate with wine. I could live off of that for an eternity I think
We don't go out to eat much so I don't have strong feelings for any restaurants really except for maybe Famous Dave's. I like their ribs and their bread pudding is yummy
Never been to Canada but I have been to the U.P. of Michigan twice. Before I die I'd like to see the Northern Lights so I'd be happy to visit anywhere in Canada where I can get a nice show, wherever that is

If you had to spend a million dollars, but could not spend it on yourself, friends, or family, how would you spend it?

1. Mrs. Rich, my high school biology teacher. She made learning fun and that's hard to do with teenagers. She recognized each student's abilities and weaknesses and and catered to that as much as possible.
2. Travel overseas and temorarily live in a couple different countries, deciding whether or not to make permanent residency there, if possible.
3. I want to be remembered as a good mom, grandma and wife. And I hope my children and/or grandchildren use some of my recipes

I would divide it up between 3 or 4 struggling families that have children with autism. It would be sort of like grant money that could be used for those childrens' therapies.

1. I'd spend it with the native Americans prior to the Europeans invading their territories. I'd love to experience what it truly means to live off this land I call home.
2. Oh man, I think I can honestly say that the best thing I ever ate was actually of my own creation... peaches and cream pork chops with the most perfect whipped sweet potatoes on the side. I can't remember the last time I got that much enjoyment out of a meal.
3. Not counting you guys? I can't say I can pick just one person. I'm the type of person to get input from as many sources as possible before taking it all into consideration and going forward from there.

If you could travel into the past or future to any time of your picking, but you could not return to your own time, would you?

What do you do when you're all alone for a few hours? (Not housework, I mean for fun)

No, that doesn't sound appealing to me. I have a lot of good things going on in my life right now and wouldn't want to miss a beat

I can honestly say that I can't remember the last time I was all alone for a few hours. The concept seems pretty foreign Seriously though, I don't know what I would do with myself. Maybe crank up some music and play some video games. Real imaginative, I know... what can I say? I like to party LOL

Would you get more satisfaction from preparing a perfect meal for ten people or from teaching those ten people how to prepare that meal?

Definitely teaching them! That would be much more enjoyable. I love cooking in groups. Teaching anyone how to cook anything is very gratifying. Great question!

If you could have lunch with someone famous, past or present, who would it be?
