For those who live on the East Coast, the price of lobsters has dropped considerably. From $4.99 to $3.50 a pound. There is a glut of them on the market right now. And for those folks who might consider having them shipped, this is the time to do it. Even if you don't eat them right away, you can steam them, and freeze their meat for a later date.

But keep in mind, this is the time of year that they are molting and shedding their shells and growing new ones. So their new shells will be soft. Me? I am sick of lobsters. I grew up with them. And my second husband used to bring them home all the time. The only thing I can think of that I would use them for is lobster salad without the bread. The original recipe is so simple. Lobster meat in chunks, diced celery and mayo. Salt and Pepper to taste. Combined with the shells of shrimp, you can use the lobster shells to create a seafood broth for clam chowder, or other sea food dishes. :chef::chef:
