Hi, I'm not sure this is the correct forum to post a request in but a long time ago I used to enjoy a dish in a Chinese restaurant called paper wrapped prawns. Sadly this restaurant has gone and although I have been to many dim sum places since and tried endlessly searching recipes, I have never found anything close, apart from one other restaurant that served a similar dish which seems to have closed. I never ate there but a guest posted a picture of the dish.
I have a couple of pictures.
This one is from the original restaurant I used to visit, http://www.vi-vian.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/P1000780a.jpg
The restaurant was called Chuen Cheng Ku, in Gerrard Street, London
The other restaurant was called Maxi in Leeds and their dish seems similar https://media-cdn.tripadvisor.com/media/photo-s/0a/87/1d/f2/prawn-wrapped-in-rice.jpg
I was told when I was abroad by a manager of a dim sum restaurant that this dish can be found in Hong Kong but he was very vague and again, I haven't been able to find a recipe.
Could anyone suggest where to look or how to find this recipe? It was such a great dish and I would love to make it myself.
Thank you.
