Can Polenta be frozen (successfully)?

Tonight I made chili and served it over grilled polenta cakes.
I only grilled half, the other half are basically ungrilled blocks of polenta ( Still haven't gotten used to cooking for 2 instead of 4.

I dont plan on eating the polenta in the immediate future, so just curious if/ how it freezes? Does it lose its texture?

I don't bother to freeze mine, but I see polenta sold in tubes in the freezer case. In fact, have been in conversations with people who insisted that is the only real form of polenta in the grocery store. The course meal that polenta is made from, they insist is just meal, not polenta.

I wouldn't bother trying to freeze it.

If it is plain polenta I would try frying it for breakfast and topping it with pancake syrup similar to fried cornmeal mush.

You could also have a quick lunch by topping it with a little tomato sauce and cheese.
