Chicken Help

So I cook chicken all the time on the stove . The way I cook it is for 20 mins on medium low , flipping every five. The problem is that my spices seem to always come off and just burn to the pan. I use olive oil but still the spices mostly come right off and char to the pan. Any Tips?
